
Invetech, a full-service provider of design, development, engineering and contract manufacturing services with a focus in healthcare markets, has announced the appointment of Steven Henderson as Director of Business Development, Diagnostics.
Steven transitioned to Invetech’s diagnostic business development team from Invetech’s cell therapy group, where he spent three years supporting clients’ instrument and manufacturing equipment development programs.
Prior to joining Invetech, Steven held roles at major life science and in vitro diagnostic (IVD) companies including Invitrogen, Life Technologies and Thermo Fisher Scientific. He has a diverse background in biotech and chemical engineering, manufacturing, regulatory and quality operations, project management and sales. With his extensive business development experience, Steven’s skills encompass strategic consulting, problem solving and solution development with complex engineering scenarios and next-generation manufacturing strategies to drive business success.
In his new role, Steven plans to focus on developing strategic partnerships and alliances with diagnostic clients to advance IVD, next generation sequencing and point of care commercialization programs. “I see my role as asking the right questions to provide a framework to understand clients’ opportunities and to maximize their business outcomes, while keeping the needs of end users and the business value they seek to deliver to the market in mind. My goal is to be an extension of the client within our organization and to bring the right resources to the table to effectively execute on their strategy,” Steven said.

Steven has a Bachelor of Science in Chemical/Biochemical Engineering, an MBA, and is a Registered Professional Chemical Engineer (PE).
