Robotics & Motion

Our motion team designs precision actuation, robotics, and automation for sample handling, assay processing, and laboratory automation. We design for repeatability, service life, and reliability so the system runs consistently across years of duty in clinical and industrial environments.

Our approach

Motion is one of the most failure-prone subsystems in any instrument and one of the most rewarding to get right. Our motion team designs precision actuation, robotics, and automation for diagnostics, sample handling, and laboratory robotics. The systems that decide whether a clinical lab can actually run twenty-four hours a day.

We design for the second-order problems: thermal drift over an eight-hour run, wear over a hundred-thousand-cycle service life, vibration coupling into an optical path two inches away, and the service procedure a field engineer has to execute in a customer’s basement at 2 a.m.

Why Invetech

[XX]+
multi-axis motion systems shipped
[XX]M+
Cycles validated in accelerated life testing
[XX]+
instruments running 24/7 in commercial labs
Wear, lubrication drift, thermal expansion at the optical interface, the service procedure at year five. All in the design intent from week one, not added on after a field issue. The instruments we ship run twenty-four hours a day in clinical labs because they were designed to.

Areas of Expertise

Linear & Rotary Motion
Precision linear stages, rotary axes, and integrated multi-axis assemblies, designed for repeatability under load and over life.
Robotics & Multi-Axis Systems
Cartesian, SCARA, and custom robotic systems for sample handling, plate movement, and assay automation.
Drives & Control
Servo, stepper, and direct-drive motor selection, drive electronics, and motion control architecture, tuned for the trajectory the application actually needs.
Precision Sample Handling
Pipetting, plate handling, gripping, and singulation systems, designed around the consumables and chemistries you ship.
Reliability & Lifecycle Engineering
Wear, lubrication, thermal, and vibration analysis, supported by accelerated life testing protocols that map to a real service interval.
