User Experience Design

Simplicity is at the center of our experience design practice. Our process helps uncover customers needs, which culminate into elegant solutions that deliver high value to customers and their business.
Example Applications: Workflow automation, CLIA-waived POC devices

A holistic view of the entire user experience

Our multidisciplinary team of experience design professionals initially immerse themselves with the people, challenges and environment. They employ generative research methods and tools to discover the user’s unarticulated goals and pain points. This is followed by an analysis of insights and synthesis of findings in collaboration with our engineers, software developers and scientists to identify the problems we should focus on during development. We also explore solutions and take design concepts into the field to test with real users. This allows us to quickly check key assumptions and identify improvements by observing what works well and where friction or risks exist in the interactions.

Designing intuitive and desirable products that transform experiences, are safe to use and differentiate from the competition. Specific expertise undertaking a considered styling process to realize medical device branded enclosures, exploring new approaches or applying established design language.

  • Physical User Interface Design the touchpoints and affordances to support user workflows and seamless interactions
  • Ergonomics and Usability – Measure use related risks and apply the best usability principles to design products that are safe and intuitive to use

Usability drives product success and the Invetech human-centered design process delivers intuitive products. In parallel a human factors engineering process uncovers use related risk and supports regulatory needs. Based on FDA guidance and international standard 62366-1, our usability specialists can support you to:

  • Uncover user needs  Use-related insights inform ease of use and reduce risks linked to use errors.
    • Conduct contextual enquiries observing your intended users within your target use environments to capture contextual factors and user responsibilities that influence product design
  • Design for ease of use Create products that are simple and easy to use
  • Conduct usability testing Conduct usability studies to assess intended users perform your prototype user workflow and support safe and effective use
  • Mitigate use-related hazards  Identify use-related hazards and develop countermeasures
  • Create and manage HFE documentation for regulatory submission based on FDA and 62366-1 guidance
