Ian

Electronics Engineer, Author, Antiques Collector

Among many projects, Ian has been the leading light of our RoHS offering–a role that calls for extraordinary attention to detail. Naturally, this trait is evident in Ian’s private pursuits including spending 10 years writing a definitive text on the history of Roman coinage, in his spare time.

“One of my more memorable projects was developing a molecular diagnostic platform for detecting tuberculosis in 3rd world countries. From a technical perspective, it was challenging integrating so much technology into a compact instrument including sample preparation, ultrasonics, rapid PCR, electrophoresis, optics and microfluidics. How we whooped with delight when a perfect electropherogram first appeared on the screen!”

Christian

UX/XD Interaction Designer, Tennis and Basketball Player, Home Chef/Baker, Traveller

Christian’s passion for experience design stems from his desire to understand people on a deep emotional level while they interact with technology and their environment. “I come from a family of artists and have always wanted to merge art, technology and communication.”

When Christian is not designing digital interfaces, he keeps busy playing tennis and basketball, sharpening his cooking/baking skills and crafting his imagination.

Kevin

Embedded Software Engineer, Golfer, Chorister

From telecommunications (including, mobile telephony, mobile hotspot and base-station technology) to in vitro diagnostics (specifically Point of Care biomedical instrument workflow development), Kevin’s career has been varied.

In his free time, you can find Kevin playing golf with his family or singing bass in a choir (though not at the same time).

Ali

Scientist, Laboratory Specialist, Photographer

Not content with his busy role in the laboratories of Invetech, Ali spends his Saturdays working for a pathology laboratory. “It’s something I’m just passionate about. I get to experience new, automated systems and keep my skills fresh in terms of being an active lab user.”

Lian

Cell Therapy Application Scientist, Foodie, Outdoor Enthusiast

Most of Lian’s days are spent in Invetech’s San Diego cell therapy lab improving automation in cell therapies. With a PhD thesis that focused on stem cell derived vascular cells for tissue engineering, Lian’s passion for science is tangible. 

Outside of the lab, Lian likes to enjoy hotpot and BBQ with friends and spending time outdoors with her dog Olive.

Lauren

Software Engineer, Educator, Singer

From managing the transition of a POC hematology instrument from development to manufacture, to mentoring female high school students on clean energy projects, Lauren’s driving passion is improving lives. “I’m passionate about improving people’s lives, through education, through better health outcomes.”

Richard

Manufacturing Engineer, Jet Engine Designer, Automotive Restorer

Coming to Invetech by way of Rolls Royce aviation where he designed jet engines, Richard is passionate about manufacturing high-technology products.

“I get great satisfaction in knowing every single product we deliver is going to a customer somewhere around the world to be used to improve or save lives!”

Designer, Innovator, Caricaturist

Our go-to man for creative thinking from breakthrough innovation to staff caricatures. “I love the challenge of idea generation and innovation workshops. And I strongly believe artistically rich visual communication is key to effective problem solving.”

Annie

UX Design Engineer, Illustrator, Artist

For creative content and deep insight into understanding how people interact with user interfaces, Annie is our go-to person. Outside of work, she loves manga (her art and others), cosplay, Japan and alpacas.

Jennifer

Marketing and Sales Operations Manager, Sometimes Gardener

An integral member of team Invetech, Jennifer manages to crunch substantial amounts of data to keep the sales and marketing teams supplied with key metrics.

When she steps away from her spreadsheets, she gravitates to the outdoors where she also indulges her gardening passion. In her own words, “succulents are hard to kill.”

Designer, Usability Engineer, Musician

Multifaceted Max, musician, songwriter, band manager, creative artist, designer and engineer at Invetech. “My recent usability activities on a large instrument program have been particularly rewarding as I know my contribution will enable the end user to have the best possible operating experience whilst removing the potential for user-error.”

Brian

IT Site Administrator and Facilities Manager, Golfer, Steel Tip Darts Champ

During his workdays, Brian ensures Invetech’s computers and facilities in San Diego are in top notch shape and running smoothly.

In his free time, you can find Brian on the golf course or playing darts. He holds an impressive steel tip darts ranking from the early 2000’s with a #1 rank in San Diego and within the top 50 in the United States.
